Always heading for the summit - with the Zugspitzbahn, Tyrol's 1st cable car. It has been taking mountain fans from Ehrwald to the 2,964 m Zugspitze for 90 years now. There are free 20 minute guided tours of the summit during the summer – and, of course, a mountain panorama with wow effect throughout the year. Technology enthusiasts can gain an insight into how the Zugspitzbahn operates in the showroom at the valley station.
A "view with a kick" is what the world's longest suspension footbridge promises, the Tibet-style Highline 179 near Reutte , around 30 minutes away by car. You can demonstrate your courage on a trip there and marvel at this imposing structure! A detour to the Ehrenberg Castle World makes for a great addition to the itinerary. Or a relaxed end to the day in the Ehrenberg thermal baths.

- Fascination Zugspitze
Interactive museum in the Tirolean cable car station at the Zugspitze. With views into the history of this well-known mountain, Europe's highest 3D show and a glass floor for unique and thrilling views! - Viewing platform at the Tuftlalm
Can be reached in approx. 1.5 hours on foot from Lermoos or in approx. 2 hours from Ehrwald via the forest trail through the Schrofen Forest. Look forward to fantastic views of the alpine world with the Grubigstein, Sonnenspitz and the might Wetterstein Mountains including the Zugspitze. - Summer toboggan run
Approx. 3.5 km away: Tirol's longest summer toboggan run awaits you in Biberwier at the halfway station of the Marienberg cable car. With 40 curves spread out over 1,300 meters all the way to the valley. - Heiterwanger- und Plansee
Approx. 17 km away: The Plansee Lake is the second largest lake in Tirol and is connected to the Heiterwanger Lake. You can take a boat ride on both lakes and enjoy the fjord-like landscape. - Highline bridge
Approx. 20 km away: Only recommended for people who are free from giddiness! On the highline 179 bridge – above the Fernpass Road B179 by Reutte – you are 114 meters above the ground. It's 406 meters of excitement - the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Tibetan style.
Pass over the 1.2 meter wide bridge from Fort Claudia to the Ehrenburg Castle Ruins. It is approx. 15-25 minutes from the parking lot to the starting point. - Innsbruck
Approx. 80 km away: Tirol's regional capital with its urban, alpine flair in the middle of the Alps. Highlights here include the famous Goldene Dachl in the old town, the Hofburg Imperial Palace, the Tirol Panorama and the Imperial church with 28 life-sized bronze figures watching over the tomb of Emperor Maximilian I. - Munich
Approx. 110 km away: In the pedestrian zone at the Marienplatz next to the New City Hall, hundreds of visitors gather daily at 11 am and 12 pm to watch and listen to the world-famous glockenspiel. The top attractions include the Frauenkirche – Munich's landmark "Church of our Lady" – as well as the Hofbräuhaus, the English Garden and the Deutsches Museum. - Shopping:
Stroll through the Leopold Street in Munich and the splendid Maximilian Street with its noble boutiques. A wonderful shopping experience awaits you in the famous Marien-Theresien-Street and all around the Goldene Dachl in Innsbruck. Or shop in Garmisch and in Mitterwald. Regional specialties and souvenirs can be found in the little town shop in Ehrwald as well.

- The Mountains in flames
At the summer solstice – usually around the third Saturday in June – the fire sculptures on our mountains are ablaze with light. This annual highlight in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena is considered part of UNESCO's immaterial cultural heritage. More than 2,000 runners start the Zugspitz Trail Run Challenge in Ehrwald, Grainau, Leutasch, Mittenwald and Garmisch-Partenkirchen in June. Various distances, ULTRATRAIL, SUPERTRAIL XL, SUPERTRAIL, BASETRAIL XL or BASETRAIL – demand a fighting spirit. - BMW Motorrad Days

Medieval fans have to see this – Europe's largest historical Event in Reutte (approx. 20 km away). Knight tournaments, medieval market and the battle of Ehrenberg with stunts and pyrotechnic effects are just part of the time travel program. A real spectacle! - Cattle drive
When summer is over, the cows come down from the mountain pastures. And that is grounds for a celebration – with music, festive flower decorations and the peal of bells. Be there for the wonderful, festive parades in September.
